There will be more because I have a little story as well for you! From 1963 to 1970 (ages 4 to 11) I grew up in the middle of of the interior of Brazil. Dad took his family of six there and it was the most wonderful memories I will ever have. There was no hustle and bustle and stress from life. The poorest people we met, those who lived in thatch homes with dirt floors, always seemed to be the happiest of all people we met.It could have been because they had not frequently entertained city slickers or Americans much less in their humble abode. Or, it could have been because they didn't have beds in their home, they had hammocks.Everyone slept in a hammock. It kept them off the ground and made it more difficult for insects and other creepy jungle critters from getting to them during the night.
an excellent point and the way you tie it into hammocks is perfect. I'm going to order my first one from you.
Dear Phillipe (Mr. Bourdeau),
Thank you for sharing this wonderful story. I really enjoyed reading it. You make
We lived in a typical concrete house when we were there and we slept in beds. But, we always had a hammock hanging
peacefully on the veranda and I used it many, many, times. When I laid there I relaxed and felt happy.
Of all the possible careers available out there one that I seriously considered was importing and selling Brazilian hammocks. Not so much to make money but to pass along a passion I found. I ended up with one 20 year career with the airlines and am now in my 12th year as a technology support specialist for a school system. Maybe some day but you definitely beat me to it. Your hammock selection is very good, nice website, very good prices and free shipping!!!
I'm not even going to try and compete against that but I will definitely order a few from your company. I usually end up giving away the hammocks that I buy to friends or family. Time to stock up again.
When most people think of a hammock it is a rope hammock or Pawley's island hammock. They are totally uncomfortable and if you can make it laying there for 30 minutes you will leave with rope marks embedded in your back. I don't need to tell you that. That's why you sell fine "Brazilian" hammocks.
Look for my order and future orders. Keep me on your mailing list and keep sharing stories!
