My mattress was 14 years old and I was not sleeping through the night. Pressure points were causing me pain in my low back, shoulders, arms, knees and neck. Can you say pain everywhere? I was contemplating getting a new bed. Meanwhile, I had the opportunity to chill out in a hammock. I told a friend that I could sleep in it, and she told me that there are millions of people who use hammocks as beds. I researched on the internet and found that people were getting out of pain by sleeping in a hammock. I found a couple of websites that had some nice hammocks, but bad reviews on their stands. Hammock Universe had the right stand and the best customer service. They answered my questions quickly about using it as a bed. I am 62 years old and was a little apprehensive. After communicating with them, I ordered my hammock. I got the Brazilian in the off-white fabric. As of this writing, I am now about 55 years old as I am sleeping through the night. My knees bothered me a little so I propped pillows under them. I am waking up happy! I ordered my hammock on Tuesday and got it on Friday! 15 minutes and it was put together! So many wonderful things besides being out of pain. First, it's a LOT less expensive than buying a bed. I don't need to buy sheets, I don't have dust under my bed, I don't have to turn a mattress and I have a lot more room in my bedroom. Thanks Hammock Universe for helping me make that leap from the ridiculous to the sublime! (Posted on 5/15/12)

This was a great find, shipped right away, and 5 star customer service. I had originally ordered the chocolate & beige hammock, but what I received was not what I was expecting (based on the picture online). After contacting customer service, a replacement hammock was shipped out the following day. Even after the unfortunate color-mishap, I would definitely recommend Hammock Universe to family and friends, and will order from them in the future! (Posted on 4/11/12)

I bought this for my living room, because I have the space for it, and I LOVE it. Gorgeous colours, very comfortable. Arrived in record time (ordered online on a Tuesday evening, delivered to Nova Scotia on Friday, in time for a party on Saturday so a lot of my friends tested it too) and took about 5 minutes to set up - all incredibly easy. I LOVE my hammock! I will be doing a lot of reading, snoozing and yes, even grading student papers in this hammock!
I haven't yet tested it out with another person, but my cat has jumped up and chilled out with me when I've been in it and she likes it too.

This hammock is great - like being wrapped up in a blanket when its cooler outside. Also, if you prefer to avoid getting more sun than necessary you can shift around in the hammock and use the material to block the sun. A visiting friend and I sat in it together for hours while we chatted and caught up with life. Received the hammock just 2 days after ordering, then had it out in use within 10 minutes.
