There’s no need to use nails or drill spikes into a tree trunk, which can harm or kill a tree, when you have these tree straps available. It’s a small way you can do a part in preserving the health and welfare of the trees in your yard, at the cottage or in the forest. These Eco-Friendly Hammock Tree Straps simply wrap around the tree and allow you to hook up whatever item you like. This product permits you to set the straps at the height you find necessary for maximum enjoyment.

These strong tree straps are 10 feet long, which means you can wrap them around any size tree – from medium to large – and not do any damage. They almost look too simple, but they work like a charm. They’ll even support an XL hammock, with a capacity of 450+ pounds. In addition, they’re made of heavy duty nylon that resists the weather. They are sold in a pack of two, meaning you have the straps for both ends of your hammock in the same package. Also included is the hanging hardware to attach any hammock.

The set-up is easy. Most of our customers say it takes around 15 minutes to install the straps, find the proper height and hook up the hammock. The delivery person will barely have time to get the truck out of the driveway before you’ll be ready to relax!

Pros: Easy Setup

Although these straps were relatively easy to hang, I found the length wasn't right for either tree. This resulted in LOTS of adjusting and readjusting. I had to put it quite high on the first tree - a 30-year-old oak- since it was not long enough to wrap twice around. On the second tree - a very old Elm, it was only long enough to go halfway around the tree so I had to extend it with a tow strap.
That said, I am extremely happy to be able to hang under this glorious canopy without damaging my precious trees! Thanks for the great service! (Posted on 4/26/12)
